Name in lights this month! Woohoo! Only started entering the SWPP's monthly print competition a couple months back (Society of Wedding & Portrait Photographers). Joined the SWPP mainly because it's a well run association and one that most of my contemporaries and the photographers whom I admire are all part of. Anyway, been doing well so far with prints published and commended. But hit the jackpot this month winning Best Bridal Portrait. Weeee! It's an odd feeling of 'disconnection' - not sure if that's the right word - when I see my name (and my images) placed next to the names & images of photographers whom I've admired for years and years, from long ago, when the idea of me turning pro was still only a twinkling feeling in my right shutter finger. But I tell ya, I'm chuffed to bits! My thanks to Gillian & Aidan who let me photograph their wedding (19th August 2006, St. Columbas Church - The Balmoral). I could not have hoped for a more fantastically patient, good humoured, stylish and generous bride & groom. The fact that they are both impossibly photogenic helped a bit too.
For those that watch Corrie '...chuffed to bits, I say, I'm chuffed to bits!'

You quite obviously hugely underestimate yourself David.
ALL your work has this kind of quality throughout. I suggest you are quickly becoming one of those photograpers you admired yourself for years?
