Just a quick post to say 'thank you' to Jen & Michael who asked me to photograph their wedding day at Dundas Castle. Bleary eyed from my previous 2 days in London attending the SWPP convention, I had my 3 weetabix, arrived extra early and was all raring to go. I have to admit to being relieved that this was going to be more of a relaxed family get-together as opposed to a formal grand wedding.

With family and friends flying in from Holland & Switzerland, all speaking fluent English, I was humbled into making a late new years resolution - to speak fluent French!! It turned out to be a great day. Jen & Michael wanted everything informal, loose and relaxed and the photos I've edited so far, reflect this wonderfully (my favorites, oddly enough, are the ones which I've posed and directed - there's a certain regal elegance about Jen & Michael which I really love).

But my over riding memory was the loud gasp from the assembled guests when Jen first appeared in the doorway to the keep. I can't remember that ever happening so spontaneously and loudly before. Have a great honeymoon Jen & Michael & we'll speak soon.
