If Kathy were to take up a career in planning birthdays, they'd probably be the best parties in the world! Many thanks Kathy for inviting me to attend and photograph Simon's big 50 (a day lovingly shared by family and close friends). It was a beautifully clear, frosty day Dalhousie Castle. The whole days events kicked off with a majestic falconry display, the boys went clay pigeon shooting, then there was an amazing banquet for all the 70 guests in historic surroundings culminating in possibly one of the best sequences of speeches I've heard in a long time, all paying suitable tribute to the birthday boy. Bon Accord, the ceilidh band, rounded off the day wonderfully! When I hit 50, I want a gig just like this one.
